about the band

The 89s are *not* an 80’s tribute band. Or if they are, it’s filtered through a long, dusty lens of americana, power pop, and gritty folk rock. They play the songs of singer/songwriter Eben Grace, whose influences range from Costello, Dylan to Prince. This is a joyful, big-hearted show, drenched in soul and spirit.
